Hi,

I have two new dual processor Win2k machines running 8.0.5 and 8.1.7. The CPU affinity for the ORACLE.EXE process is set to 2.

They run fine most of the time, but a couple times a day the CPU's will drop down to 0% used and will hang there for several minutes. The problem just seems to be Oracle. When I set the affinity to 1 cpu it seems to work fine.

Has anybody else had this problem? Any suggestions?

TIA, Alan Received on Tue Nov 06 2001 - 23:24:52 CST
