Hi All,

I am an experienced Web Developer. To date I have been working solely on the MS platform and have an extremely good knowledge of SQL server. I would like to start learning Oracle and hopefully get certified as well. The Oracle certification path however is a bit weird. I have two questions for all experienced Oracle people.

What function does Oracle Forms perform in the Oracle suite? Why is it in so much demand ? Would one be pursuing a development position by having this ?

Is Oracle 9iAS taking off in the market? Is there demand for people familiar with these skills OR is it just a matter of knowing other skills like JSP, EJB etc thta count?

I see many ads for Oracle / Java specialists? Where is the synergy here?

I am looking for a career change to move to middleware development. I would like to end up understanding Oracle so that I can offer ASP services as I'm quite tired of custom software development. Any info / links would be highly appreciated..

TIA
Dharmesh
