I tried jdk1.1.8 but Oracle setup still does not start. I can force the Oracle installation by applying the follwoig steps:

  1. Copy the Insatll folder from CD to loacl C: drive, for example to c:\temp
  2. Modify the oraparam.ini, to read the full path of SOURCE, JRE_LOCALTION and OUI_LOCATION from the CD
  3. Change the JRE_MEMORY_OPTION line to add "-nojit" argument
  4. Lunch setup.exe from the C: drive

In this case the Installtion goes up to 100% and then fail at the installation of Net Esay configuarion.

Even in this case I can not use Oracle. Too bad.
