CLOB vs. BLOB

Does anyone know where I can find some comparisons between the two?  The
reason is to determine whether to use a BLOB to store text documents since I
am already using a BLOB for binary attachments.  So, basically, is it
justifiable to differentiate between text and binary on data coming in and
placing that information in different locations...



Any help would be appreciated.
