Installation of Oracle 8i

I can not install Oracle 8i Personal Edition for Windows 98 on my computer running Windows Me.

When the installation program begins to extract the files I get the following message:

"No valid intermediate area. In this area there are no higher level components for Windows 95"

Is this version of Oracle compatible with Windows ME ?
