Hi Mike,

When you log into the console (through the OMS), you see the databases that have been "discovered". When you don't use the OMS, you use a local configuration file that works with the tnsnames.ora to see the databases.

If you look at the server(s) you are trying to discover (in the ORACLE_HOME/network/agent/ directory) you will find a services.ora file. This file has a list of all of the services the Intelligent Agent has found on your server. I suspect if you check the O_H/network/log/nmiconf.log file, you will see warnings about "No listener found for SID xyz. xyz will be skipped." This is because the agent requires a SID_LIST_ section in your listener.ora file. The agent uses configuration files to determine what services actually exist, and cannot use the same type of automatic registration the database and listener use.....

This should get you headed in the right direction...
