If you are interested in airline city codes, you can look at http://www.airportcitycodes.com/aaa/index.html . It contains worldwide city codes, name. long/lat, etc, and appears to be 'free'.

Another source is IATA which is the body that authorizes airline city codes, among other things (see www.iata.org) and OAG (Offical Airlines Guide) which has various products available for a price (see http://www.oag.com) and these may include long/lat info.

And ... see http://www.nima.mil/gns/html/cntry_files.html which has long/lat for just about every spot on the planet (it seems) but this may be more info than you want to see!
