Oracle has add on procedures to wrap an SQL result set in XML. I am wondering how well it works. What pieces must be installed? Is it worth the trouble to set this up in Oracle? Or would it be better to let the front end do the XML formatting of the data.

Using Oracle 8.1.7 on Unix with a WebSphere front end. Planning on using Cocoon and XSL to created PDF output.
