the ORA 1122 means that what is in the control file for the system datafile does not match the copy of the system datafile you have.

Was your database down when you took the cold backup? Are you sure the files are all from the same backup? If your database wasn't down when you copied the files, the backup is inconsistent and you won't be able to use it. Received on Tue Sep 25 2001 - 15:41:04 CDT
