HELP:Oracle 8i client installation problem on patium-4 PC!!!

Hi all, I tried to install Oracle 8i client(8.1.7) on w2k server, patium-4 CPU.
But the universal installer cann't be launched! When I tried to install it on
w2k server with patium-3 CPU it worked! What's the problem? Patium-4 CPU is not
supported by Oracle 8i client?
