grant access question

Hi all

I have a question:

how can SCOTT access tables that have been created and filled by SYSTEM ?

I have GRANT SELECT to SCOTT as SYSTEM was logged on .... but still wouldn't show any data when SCOTT is on.

any ideas .. as to what I can do, please ?
