Oracle 8 installation error on Linux

I am installing Oracle 8.1.7 on Redhat 7.1 Linux and I am getting an error
at approximately 65% through.



The error is:



Error in invoking target relink of makefile
/home/oracle/OraHome1/precomp/lib/ins_precomp.mk



On the installation screen it says the install was successful and "Linking
Oracle8i Enterprise Edition 8.1.7.0.1".



Anyone got any ideas what is going on?
