What to look for when a scheduled Job doesn't run?

I have managed to successfully submit a job to my 8.04 database, which runs
quite happily every day at the required time.  My problem is that I cannot
get the job to run on the production database (8.05).  Are there any
parameters or anything that I should check?  I have set
"job_queue_processes=1" (mine is the only job runnning on the database).
