Hello,

I'm trying to find out if anyone else has experienced this problem and has a recommended fix, or heck, even just some sympathy to offer. My users are getting frustrated and I just can't seem to find a solution.  I searched Metalink but couldn't find anything on this problem.

We are using an application built with an old version of Oracle Developer 2000 (version 1.2). I have several clients all experiencing the same problem since their desktop computers were upgraded to Windows 2000. Users are running a 16 bit application in client/server mode. The forms reside on a Windows NT file server and the database resides on a Sun E450 running Solaris 2.6.

Clients installations consist of Forms Runtime, Reports Runtime, Graphics Runtime, SQL Net Client, SQLPlus, Required Support Files.

The error:
"F45RUN.exe caused a general protection fault in module ut21win.dll." The error will occur multiple times per day, and the users restart their computer after each one.

The circumstances:
Users are in a form (it doesn't matter which form they are using, it occurs in multiple forms) and are generally either in query mode and viewing existing data, or changing data on a sub-form. The error occurs when the OK button is clicked, or sometimes when tabbing between fields.

Attempts to fix:
- Installed a local set of forms, so the only connection being made is
to the database. This had no effect.
- Isolated affected users to their own Cisco switch and monitored the
traffic. Zero collisions and errors. No effect.
- Moved their network cable to a different wall jack. No effect.

Any assistance or guidance in solving this problem will be most appreciated.

Thanks,
