Hi all:

I had an oracle 7 client before. It's default date format is 'YYYY-MM-DD'. After that, I installed oracle 8i personal edition and the date format has changed to 'DD-MON-YY' for version 7 application. I changed the win registry for oracle 7 home environment varable nls_date_format to 'YYYY-MM-DD',but it didnt' work. Can anyone tell me what happened and how I can used old format as default for version 7 appl.

thanks.
