Title: Quality Assurance Rate/Salary: 65-72K Type:Permanent Description: This position is responsible for coordinating the quality assurance activities of teams for complex software applications and must have knowledge of the principles and practices of quality assurance for IT. Will be responsible for maintaining an internal web-based tips and techniques site.

Duties: Coordinates the quality assurance activities of teams for complex software applications, including unit testing, integration testing and regression testing, including the review and evaluating requirements, specification, test scripts and other documents as they relate to the quality assurance process. Create and maintain detailed test scripts as templates. Participates as member of team conducting tests an validating test results and reporting defect discrepancies. Establishes software quality standards for life cycle, documentation; develop quantitative measurements and techniques for measuring software quality. Defines functions to be tested, develops quality plans, assists in creating a quality assurance hardware/software environment for formal integration and regression testing. Reviews and evaluates software quality assurance products and services for applicability to in-house needs and maintains internal web-based tips and techniques site.   

Duties: Qualifications: BA/BS with minimum 2 years progressively responsible experience within administrative computing environment; excellent analytical skills; knowledge of the principles and practices of quality assurance for IT; experience writing test plans and automated test scripts; experience working with project deadlines and facilitating successful completion of projects on schedule; knowledge of database design and with relational technology, specifically with Oracle highly desired. Knowledge of Adabas/Natural, Cobol, TSO/ISPF desired; experience with complex batch processing a plus. Knowledge of UNIX, text editor, SQL, PL/SQL and SQL*plus and experience with Oracle tools and data warehousing a plus. Experience with HTML, Java and Perl as well as other web related tools a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated planning and organizational skills, working knowledge of project management software and desktop tools desired, as well as web experience desired.
