Re: 8i Install hangs before starting on RH 7.1

we had a similar problem in the company with redhat 6, bit there was no real workaround at that time.
but what worked was, to install it on another linux distribution on another PC and copy the files to the redhat machine. then you need to set the environment variables and it works :-)
