Did you copy the file across using ftp?. The dump file is a binary file and so needs to be copied in binary mode. I learned that lesson after ftping several gigs of export across a slow lan!! Otherwise you've almost certainly got a corrupt export file. The name is Niall BTW, but so long I'm not been abused I'll answer to almost anything
