Those of us who work with undocumented systems from 3rd parties (or who have as this guy has 'inherited' some old stuff) are a little mor circumspect about killing something off that we can't identify. I'd certainly want to at least look at the data using dbms_lob and a file viewer or some such first.

Mind you there is an argument that if you drop the table you can pretty quickly rely on users to identify the missing stuff for you!!
