Newbie to DB needs help

Hi, I am trying to install the Oracle ODBC driver for Rdb on my machine so i can access a scheduling database. I have a pentium 4 1.4ghz running win98se - and when I download the driver and installer from the oracle site - and unzip it and try to setup I get Jrew illegal operation. I have installed in on another machine running win95 and win98se without problem. I have also tried to use an older version of the driver and get messages that it cannot be installed because rdb3220 FILE NOT FOUND when verifying rdb3220.

Any ideas about how I can get this driver installed - the clock is ticking on this project and i need to get this installed to access it.
