Hi Trub,

11i is the ERP software suite that contains Financials, Manufacturing and HR functionality and is highly web-based.

8i is the RDBMS system which is designated with "i" because he has functionality related to exploiting the internet.

9i is Oracle's home grown Internet web server (or sometimees calle d Application server)
