Help : ORA-00604 & ORA-01000

Hi everyone

I am currently getting the following exception from my Oracle 8i. It seems pretty random and although I've increased the open cursor attribute in the init file to 200, stopped and restarted the server, it is still occuring (but at a lesser frequency).

I've also ensured that all the sql statements are closed appropriately.

ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1 ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded

Is there anyone who faces this similar problem and has found a better solution?
