If I were to belief Mr. Simkovsky this would result in that I find a range of port numbers in which the Oracle server is operating right now. A quick look in the listener.log shows that oracle uses a new port for each connection - counting up. So even that I know it works with the port rage I find I could not be sure that the rage is large enough - I don't know when Oracle starts recycling..
