This is an update from the last post.
I just downloaded the 8.1.6 version and tried again to install the personal
edition.
Actually made it past the second screen, however it wouldn't recognize the
paths for the source and the home... They were both there, but I kept
getting an error saying "problem accessing the staging area, make sure the
source and destination are valid"
Both are the default paths the software puts in the paths.
Here are my paths:
Source: C:\ORA95PO\Stage\products.jar
Home:
C:\ORA95PO\STAGE\COMPONENTS\ORACLE.SWD.JRE\1.1.7.24\1\DATAFILES\EXPANDED\JRE
\WIN32\BIN\..\\Oracle\Ora81
I'm really starting to wonder if installation on Me is possible or worth my
time...
Any assistance would be much appreciated.
