I just wonder how he have avoided to hear about Kylix/Delphi until now?
I mean... the news about Kylix have been out for 6-8 months, and if he is so set against VB, *all* VB-programmers have known about and probably tried Delphi *years* ago...

(BTW... I can assure you that DumDum *can't* work for Borland...  The Delphi works, is elegant, and is fun to use, so no DumDum  involment is possible).
