Hi Ray,
As far as I know, table partitioning is available only from Oracle 8. But why do you say that you "need to wait for V8"?

Oracle 8i has been available for quite a while now, and in fact, Oracle 9i (database) should be available soon - from what I can gather.

In today's Internet age, saying you live in "back of Burke", isn't a viable excuse for not being up to date with the latest technologies.
