I am trting to install Oracle 8i (8.1.7) on a Red Had 6.2 Server and keep getting an error when starting the runInstaller script. The error is as follows:
oracle_at_ff:/root/Oracle8iR2 > Initializing Java Virtual Machine from../stage/Components/oracle.swd.jre/1.1.8/1/DataFiles/Expanded/linux/bin/ jre. Please wait...current locale is not supported in X11, locale is set to

I've ried glib-c patches and installed the jre stuff as per the install doc.
Does any one have a solution to this?
Thanks,
Charlie
