Hi,

I've heard that the Linux-distribution with best Oracle-support should be SuSE-Linux
in general.
I downloaded Oracle 8.1.7.0.1 and I shall upgrade my SuSE Linux from 6.3 to 7.x
before installing Oracle.
Now SuSE says that Oracle works best with SuSE-Linux 7.0 because of its glibc-2.1
But the actual version of SuSE-Linux available is 7.1, so I would like to know if there
are any known problems with 7.1 and Oracle 8.1.7.0.1 and if I should better try to
get an >old< Linux 7.0, or can I rely on the new version 7.1?

Thanks for help
