i'm getting close to graduating with a BS in CIS...i'm leaning more towards working with databases after graduation. In my course studies, i've played alittle with Oracle 8i pe to build tables and do lookups. Unfortunately, I feel that the instructor for my database systems class was alittle short on showing us the abilities and features of working with a database, but what we did do stirred some interest inside me. I was wondering if I could get some recommendations on good books for newbies??? any help is appreciated..

thanks in advance.
