Yoau are right. That can be a problem. The password is stored in what Access calls the systemdatase. All users must share a common systemdatabase if it shall work proberly. To me it has worked fine with a prober setup of Access.

Besides of that youre solution is better. Having the full control in your own code is normally the best way of doing it :-)
