I had a cold backup of all database files. I restored this to the oracle partition. Then I imported from a previous export backup using full option. The import log showed several errors because of existance of various objects. So I dropped all tablespaces created by me with cascade constraints option and then tried the import. Some errors were still reported.

How do I ensure that the latest version of objects like Procedures, Functions etc. are imported?
Are these stored in the user tablespaces or the system tablespace? Do the sys objects like Views, Synonyms, Procedures, etc ever change and if so do these get imported if a later version is in the export backup?
