OIP-04120 No memory for data transfer buffer

Is anyone familiar with this Oracle error?

"OIP-04120 No memory for data transfer buffer"

The Oracle database is running on Solaris 7 with a windows application constantly querying it for updates in a specific column. The application sits on WinNT. Apparently the error occurs more frequently if more users are logged on. Any information is appreciated.
