I suspect that the problem is the ORB classes that come with the browsers. The aurora orb has it's own client libraries to implement session IIOP.

If I recall correctly, this will nto work with 8.1.5, you will have to go to either 8.1.7 or wait for 9i. Check the 8i information on technet, there is an FAQ that talks about this (and other stuff). http://technet.oracle.com/products/oracle8i/htdocs/jserver_faq/index.htm l
