Hi.

I am trying to get Oracle 8i running, its a disk from one of the Que. books.

The system :-

        Win98 Second Ed. 4.10.2222A
        128 meg ram
        Athlon 700

So far it's complained it can't find Java so I obtained and installed the latest JRE but it dose not seem to recognise it but IE5 is ok with it. Aborted due to "system restrictions" giving no further info. I have placed no restrictions on the system.
Produced the following fault

                                             START caused an invalid page
fault in
module KRNL386.EXE at 0002:00007bf8.

Oh yes it's also declared periodically that "start.exe" is not a valid win32 app.

I would write it off as a bad disk but it will load onto my old Win95 PC but that's a 200 P2 with a 1gig drive.

I would very much like to use the newer machine so any suggestions to
