I assume you have the German version of W2000. Then try this :
- Systemsteuerung-Verwaltung-Dienste is the Listener running? - do you have an SID up and running ? StartServiceORCL and OracleServiceORCL or similar names ?
- start Net8 Easy Config. Do you have the Services configured (like local.world) ?
- MS-DOS - TNSPING local - does it answer?

If any of the above answers is no, you have a problem with the installation.

Please supply more info.
