Sure, I do it all the time from my home office in LA to an Oracle server residing in San Francisco via VPN connection over the Internet. As long as you can ping the Oracle host from your client side then configuring Net8 shouldn't be any more difficult than if the machine was local. Just make sure the Net listeners are running on the server.

Check your documentation.
