Re: Oracle Listener Stalling on Red Hat 7

Thanks for the suggestion.

However, it turns out that the problem was due to the lack of a dns server on the client machines.

We put an entry for the dbserver machine in /etc/hosts on the client machines, and the problem went away. Weird, as the tnsnames.com files use IP addresses, not machine names. However, it's good to make progress.
