Hello Oracle Experts

I have folloing problem. The Installation of Oracle (I tried 8.1.6 Std,
Oracle8iR2 and also 8.1.7) works fine. In the section "Create a
Database" I selected No. The whole installation process was ok. After
that I created a database using dbasssit and saved the the corresponding shell script to a file. Then I tried to execute this script, but it terminated with an error. A reason I found is that SVRMGRL couldn't be started -> core dump!!! Also it is only possible to create a new database with dbassist, deleting or altering an existing database is not possible.

My Linux box:
PII - 333MHz, 192MB, RAID-5 (Adaptec's 2100 Controller) with 3 Disks (a 32 GByte)
Kernel: 2.2.16-3
glibc: 2.1.3-21

Any help is greatly apreciated
