Firstly read the concepts manual. Then probably read it again - it usually makes more sense the second time around...

8i ships with a utility called dbassist which will enable you to create a database using a graphical user interface. However without knowing what tablespaces and storage clauses are it probably doesn't make a whole lot of sense to just go out and run the tool.
