I work in these environments on a daily basis and have no problems whatsoever.

Tell me...
What language are you developing in? (VB, C/C++, PB, Forms, etc) What connectivity layer are you coding in? (PRO*C, OCI, ODBC, OLE-DB, etc) Are these multi-threaded applications?
What makes you think it is a problem with Oracle? What efforts have you expended to debug the application and where does the "hang" occur?

Zip and send me the source (if VB or C/C++) if you would like me to take a look.
