Hi all,

I'm writing an application for an Oracle DB using OCI calls. Every thing is working great… until some one else from a different Computer is trying to run the same application and trying to update Some data that was generated by the first computer… and of course The second computer is been blocked by the first one… My question is:
Is there a way to know ahead that a specific operation Will be blocked? Or to query the DB about specific row if it can be Selected for update ?

Thanks,
