REDO log problem

Is there any serious problem if there are the warning messages in the database ALRT log file:

>Thu Nov 09 03:19:59 2000
>Thread 1 cannot allocate new log, sequence 49020
>Checkpoint not complete
> Current log# 1 seq# 49019 mem# 0: F:\ORACLE\ORADATA\ZXDB\REDO01.LOG
>LGWR: prodding the archiver
>Thread 1 advanced to log sequence 49020
> Current log# 2 seq# 49020 mem# 0: F:\ORACLE\ORADATA\ZXDB\REDO02.LOG

If the above messages appear very frequently, should I alter the database configuration somewhere?

Thanks a million!

George
