Hello,

Hoping someone can help with this question: In terms of index selection by the query optimizer, does it make a difference in your WHERE clause what order you refer to columns in? In other words, is the query optimizer in Oracle 8.x smart enough to choose the best indexes no matter what the order of the columns in the WHERE clause, or does the SQL author need to make sure to order them with index choice in mind?

Thanks,
