try this tool - it handles data conversions like cake!!! you can "copy and paste" data from ANY OLEDB.ODBC connection to another - if the type don't align, it will let you see what the problems are... I have foudn this tool to be invaluable when converting data - http://www.appligator.com/products/Schemer/moreSchemer.asp
