NEWBIE: SQL intro

Very stupid newbie question about SQL.

I've tried RTFM, but I need a faster and more concise answer than the docs supply (or at least a helping hand on where in the docs to start looking to find a concise answer?)

How do I list the tables/tablespaces/views defined in my database, using svrmgrl (local SQL Plus prompt)? I need to check this locally, as I'm trying to figure out whether it's the database or the client that is wrongly configured.

TIA,
