Hi Karsten,

If I am clear with your problem you are using a Forms Server configuration. Forms has a built-in
web.show_document where you can get access to some URL you like. If this URL points to a html page
with javascript, you can invoke a local software (MS Word, for example) or some other thing you like.

But with Forms Server 5.0.6.8 this built-in works enough good only with applet viewer and I could not
find a way to work around the java machine embedded security in Netscape. Forms Server 4.5 works
propertly. With Forms Server 6.0 I did investigate this feature.
