Oracle 8 added alot of programmer features from 7.3.4. Oracle 8i added alot of internet, programming, dba features.

Oracle 8i to put it blunt is the shit.

Can drop columns without exporting / importing table Java procedures
PL/SQL enabled websites (8.1.7)
Alot of media related features

Around 150 different MAJOR feature add-ons. But is a bit more complex than 8.0.x as it has changed quite a bit of the look and feel.
