Hi Van,

Thank you for responding. I didn't try to create a database, am using Windows 98 2nd ed at home (am enrolled in an Oracle database class and we are using it at the college via NT though). I went back through all the help files I could find and everything said it should be working but it wasn't.

So I went back and started over clean and redid everything and it worked -- don't know why, maybe I had a corrupted file or something that didn't load right the first time -- I am running this on the bare bottom limits of what it says it will run on (an ancient 166 Pentium, with only 64 EDO RAM, and worse a 5.1 hard drive that had a head crash and lost down to 4.7 gig now -- yes I know the machine is dying and the only thing worthwhile is the 3com modem (I bought high end when I bought it).

Anyway thank you for helping.
