Oracle8i for Linux Starter Kit

Hi,

Has anybody bought the book by Oracle Press? It includes a CD-ROM for Oracle8i for Linux. I read that it is a 60-day evaluation copy, does that mean that the software will
fail to function after 60 days? What if I want a copy of the software for my testing/learning purposes, where can I get such offer of licensing agreement from Oracle?

60 days is too short a period for me to do enough exploration of Oracle software since I have a full-time job which takes up much of my time during the day.
