I've been trying to install Developer 6.0 that i downloaded from Oracle onto the same Windows NT workstation machine that I have oracle 8i on. Developer cannot fin the database. Do your comments below mean that I can't use these two together.

If I can, please explain how. I'm lost as far as how to get this working. It works fine at work because they have the db on one machine and forms on another but I'm just trying to get it going at home on one machine and i don't have any idea how to configure TNS listener if that's what is required.

It seems like it shouldn't be this hard to get them both working on the same machine.

Please help.

Thanks in advance.
